• We see only one side of the world which is filled
  with comforts, luxury and happiness. But there is
  another side which has poverty and sadness all
  over. In Islamic community there is something
  known as Sadaqah Jariyah which means voluntary
  donation. According to Arabic it means truth and
  righteousness.

• Sadaqah leads to sanitization of the donor. Based
  on Quran, it can be either in the form of money,
  clothes, food or even kind words. It also means
  that every good deed is a form of Sadaqah. They
  believe caring and sympathetic words are better
  and relieving rather than insulting someone.

How to make Donations?

• Quran says that, when donating to the needy it
  must not be done in public to get acknowledged by
  the people but donations should be quietly under
  the roof. The only intention for donating the
  poor is to help them live a much more comfortable
  and happy life. Quran also says that Sadaqah is
  not only donated for people who are in need of
  food or money, but it is also means extending
  arms for spreading care, love or soothing words
  across the world.

Good deeds which can be done for people who are
in need

• According to Quran, when a human dies all his
  good deeds and behaviour comes to an end other
  than- Sadaqah Jariyah. For example helping poor
  family with seeds, minerals and land can help
  them cultivate crop. This will yield a regular
  income as well as and food for themselves and the
  entire family. This is known as Sadaqah Jariyah.
  This kind of Islamic donation is always ongoing
  and helps the donor earn blessings even after
  their life.

• Help people in reading and reciting Quran. When
  the person recites he/ she will get Hasanat
  even after they die or even until the world ends.
• One can donate money, building materials or even
  help in building mosques such that people can
  remember and preach God.
• There are many orphanages in the world, so one
  can sponsor money, clothes and food for the
  orphans and help them live a much better life
  than before.
• People fall ill and sometimes suffer from
  incurable diseases, so help people who are in
  hospitals and help them build hospitals for
  giving proper treatment to patients.
• Help the environment to be clean and neat, plant
  more trees and save the environment as this will
  give shade to people and help them live protected
  lives.
