WPT Nottingham Trip Report
On the poker side of things Ive had a bunch of
big cashes, including my first profitable WSOP
trip! This blog is going to focus on my most
recent trip to WPT Nottingham as it is still
somewhat fresh in my head.

Max silver Poker
I had 3 deep runs in the 7 events I played. I
felt like there was a lot of value in all the
events and would compare them far more to events
played at the WSOP than an EPT in terms of
toughness. It was a pleasure to see how much pure
enjoyment and fun was had by both professionals
but especially the amateurs at the Aussie
Millions.

The Trip to Australia
Australia is far away, really far away. My trip
to Melbourne was far from optimal was not without
incident(s). The first leg of the trip to Dubai
started off poorly as upon checkin I found my
aisle seat had turned into a middle seat next to
an extremely tall man who couldnt help but
overflow his arms and legs into my personal space.

Main Event Max Silver
The turn is the and the small blind bets 5500. I
think this is a pretty easy call based on my pot
odds, implied odds and position. Gaelle folds and
Paul overcalls. At this point I am 100 sure I do
not have the best hand, for sure the small blind
has me beat more often than not and Paul
definitely has at least TT, more likely JJ or QQ.
I jumped straight into the main event and
immediately recognized quite a few faces Gaelle
Baumann, Michael Mizrachi, Paul Vas Nunes and
Marvin Rettenmaier. The rest of the table was
made up of a combination of pros and amateurs and
I felt pretty comfortable.

Melbourne Bar Scene
The Melbourne bar scene is awesome. I met up with
my friend Bryce whos been living in Melbourne
for a few years now, we were joined by Rupert and
two of his friends, Nipun and Alex and we went on
something of a bar crawl. Bryce knew all the
spots and we went from bar to bar finding some
real gems.
