About Carpe Diem Maldives
Amir Mansoor, established Maldivian business man,
and Agnes van Linden, starting entrepreneur, met
in 2008 in Male. Amir had just finished building
a new safari boat, the then called Tropic Breeze
and was about to sell her off to a surf operator
when the two met. As a result he changed his
plans and opted to run the boat together with
Agnes. They changed the name into Carpe Diem and
started the company Carpe Diem Maldives Pvt. Ltd.
with the operation of the Carpe Diem. Business
picked up very quickly and after signing a deal
with Explorer Ventures they decided to build a
second boat together, the Carpe Vita which became
an upgraded sistership of the Carpe Diem and has
been in operation since 2011. Eight years down
the line, they have managed to build up a
successful brand, which was awarded Leading
liveaboard brand of the year in 2016 and 2015
and have recently launched (March 2016) their 3rd
boat, the Carpe Novo. The duo will probably have
more up their sleeves for the future with Amir
starting to build a resort and Carpe Diem
Maldives opening a land based dive center, so
stay turned.

1. Carpe Diem Boat-
The Carpe Diem is the first boat we started
operating in 2008 and the reason for the start of
the company Carpe Diem Maldives Pvt. Ltd. The
Carpe Diem was built in the Maldives fully out of
wood by Amir Mansoor who is also the owner of the
boat. The boat has 10 cabins divided over 3 decks
and can cater for a maximum of 20 people. The
boat is accompanied by a diving dhoni (tender)
and a small speedboat (dingy). The Carpe Diem
caters for scuba diving trips, surfing trips,
fishing trips or tailor made cruises for
exclusive groups. Our local dive team of 3 with
their abundance of experience can cater for any
experience level diver and is able to ensure that
everyone of any nationality has a lasting
wonderful diving experience. On dedicated scuba
diving trips the Carpe Diem offers standard 3
dives a day. What makes the Carpe Diem further
stand out is the service provided by a dedicated
crew, some of which have been with the company
for a many years. Clients that have come back
described it as coming home. The MV Carpe Diem
is a 35 m long motor safari yacht with a wooden
hull. It has 3 decks plus a sundeck.

2. Carpe Vita Boat-
Introducing our second boat, the Carpe Vita,
the upgraded sistership of the Carpe Diem. The
Carpe Vita meaning Seize Life was built in the
Maldives by the same person, Amir Mansoor, as the
Carpe Diem. The Carpe Vita started operations in
2011. The Carpe Vita with her 38 meters in length
is bigger than the Carpe Diem, but still catering
for a maximum of 20 people. With 10 cabins
divided over 3 decks providing a lot more space.
The Carpe Vita like the Carpe Diem caters for
dedicated scuba diving, wave surfing ,fishing and
tailor made trips for both individuals as well as
groups. The Carpe Vita provides standard 4 dives
a day on her dedicated scuba diving trips versus
3 on the Carpe Diem and offers some different
itineraries from the Carpe Diem.

2. Carpe Novo Boat-
The Carpe Novo is our newest 2016 boat and
started operations March 26, 2016. The Carpe Novo
is another upgraded sistership of the Carpe Diem
and has been built in the Maldives by the same
person, Amir Mansoor who built the Carpe Diem and
the Carpe Vita. The Carpe Novo is bigger than the
Carpe Diem and even slightly bigger than the
Carpe Vita, catering for a maximum of 21 people
in 11 cabins divided over 3 decks thus providing
more space. The Carpe Novo like her two sisters
caters for dedicated scuba diving, wave surfing
and fishing trips for both individuals as well as
groups. The Carpe Novo like the Carpe Diem will
provide standard 3 dives a day on her dedicated
scuba diving trips versus 4 on the Carpe Vita.
