  • This change is due to reshuffling of the
    jurisdiction of many Income Tax authorities. 
  • So, it is better for each assessee/taxpayer to
    check whether his Jurisdictional Income-tax
    Authority / AO (Know Your Jurisdictional
    Assessing officer Officer) / ITO has been changed
    or not.

PAN Jurisdiction AO Code
  • The PAN Jurisdiction AO Code is your area
    Jurisdiction code.
  • The Income Tax department has given a unique
    code to each area in all cities to know the range
    of the IT returns easily.
  • So, there is a need for every assessee have to
    know Jurisdiction PAN AO code. 
  • The Assessing officer code is 11 Digit Code which
    signifies the area code, Jurisdictional AO type,
    range of your Jurisdiction and  Jurisdictional
    Assessing officer (AO) number.

    details.
  • A new window will open 
  • Now enter the 10-digit PAN number and Captcha
    code given in the image.
  • Finally, Click on Submit.

  • Click on that link
  • There, on selecting the state, a pdf file opens
