Graft extraction may be done by any of the two
methods

• FUE
• FUT
• Preference may be towards FUE as there is no need
  to give a scalp scar and number of grafts that
  are required can be extracted with FUE.

Points to consider

• Acute angle of exit from skin
• Direction and curve of the hair
• Direction may not be same all around the beard.
• If the graft requirement is less for e.g. In
  burn, scar or any small patch then the donor
  follicle may be taken from the surrounding beard
  itself
• In cases of large requirement or in cases of less
  growth then scalp donor need to be used
• To keep in mind scalp hair grows long you need
  regular trimming.
