About Japanese Creations
Japanese Creations is a comprehensive Japanese
traditional Arts and Crafts learning brand for
the U.S. market.

Currently, we offer three different categories
under the brand Chigiri-e, Etegami, Chirimen.

Chigiri-e/????
Chigiri-e is a Japanese-style paper collage
created using hand-dyed Washi paper.

Chigiri-e/????
By tearing the paper, you can create an artwork
like a water color paintings.

Chirimen/????
Chirimen is the Japanese name for the fabric
with crimps on the surface (often silk),
typically used in kimonos.

Chirimen/????
The art of Chirimen transforms mere scraps of
this textured crepe fabric into adorable,
hand-sewn pouches and ornaments.

Etegami/???
Etegami is an intuitive, colorful folk art
consisting of simple Sumi ink drawings paired
with a few thoughtful words and watercolor,
typically drawn on postcards or on Washi paper to
be used as letters.
