Founded in 1982, the University of Health
Sciences Antigua (UHSA) located in Dowhill,
Piccadilly Antigua is an outstanding academic
institution dedicated to educating exemplary
physicians, nurses, postgraduates and researchers
in accordance with the highest professional
standards who will integrate clinical, biomedical
and behavioral knowledge to promote the health
and well-being of patients and communities. We
are committed to educating physicians and health
care professionals who will address national and
international challenges in medicine with an
emphasis on primary care and be known for

curriculum provides students with a comprehensive
course of study that prepares students for the

5Clinical Skills Simulation Center
The Standardized Patient (SP) Program is an
integral part of UHSAs Medical Education. It
gives medical, and nursing students the real-life
experience necessary to develop and continuously
improve their clinical skills. The SP Program
employs highly trained staff to portray patients
with a wide variety of symptoms and illnesses.
