The BrandLaureate International Awards
Taking the Brand Laureate to the next higher
level, the BrandLaureate International Awards
will be the first international brand award that
represents true global recognition that is
reserved exclusively for the worlds best brands!

The BrandLaureate International Awards the
worlds leading brand award. Nobel Laureate
winners such as Nelson Mandela and other
luminaries like Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg,
Hillary Clinton, Edward de Bono, Dr Joseph
Stiglitz (Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic
Sciences 2001) plus the worlds most recognized
brands have received the Brand Laureate award.
Now the founder of the Brand Laureate is
launching the BrandLaureate International Awards.
It is so exclusive that the International award
is truly reserved for only the worlds best
brands and awarded just once every four years
Country Awards on a country by country basis will
be awarded annually, followed by Regional Awards
every third year, culminating in the
International Awards in a glittering
international ceremony every fourth
year. Taking the Brand Laureate to the next
higher level, the BrandLaureate International
Awards will be the first international brand
award that represents true global recognition
that is reserved exclusively for the worlds best
brands! With such exclusivity, the
BrandLaureate International Award will be coveted
by many but is rightly reserved solely for brands
that are genuinely deserving of recognition as
one of the worlds best brands in its category!
That is our pledge the BrandLaureate
International Awards is the only global brand
award that the worlds best brands can aspire to!

The Foundation
The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF), a
not-for-profit organization dedicated to the
promotion and improvement of branding standards
internationally. Amongst its many activities,
the APBF will promote the publication of position
and research papers and the organization of
symposiums and seminars on branding issues which
will include the BrandLaureate International
Awards. These will be awarded as Country Awards
on a country by country basis annually, followed
by Regional Awards every third year and
culminating in the International Awards every
fourth year. Asia Pacific Brands Academy Sdn
Bhd Incorporated under the auspices of the APBF,
the Asia Pacific Brands Academy (APBA) is tasked
with the administration of this portal, the Award
administration, The organization of events and
seminars and the publication of the official
coffee table books entitled Brand Icons and all
proceeds thereof, save for an administrative fee
and expenses, will be transmitted to the APBF to
fund the foundations legitimate activities,
including the The Brand Laureate International
Awards, and The Field of Dreams Charity Program,
etc.

The Field of Dreams Program
The Field of Dreams is a charity program
initiative of the APBF coinciding with the
BrandLaureate International Awards Award
presentation in 2018 where a Field of Dreams trip
of a lifetime will be awarded to terminally ill
children selected from a worldwide search to meet
the sporting stars of their dreams with VIP
tickets to events featuring the stars.
Award Categories
Brands are not confined to just products and
services but include individuals. Successful
individuals who have contributed greatly to the
growth of a business, brand or an industry are
personalities in their own right. The Asia
Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF) takes cognizance
of the role of these individuals and their
contributions to society. The BrandLaureate
Brand Personality Awards is initiated to honor
these successful individuals whose contributions
have helped the nation to grow, enhanced the well
being of society and make our lives more

Past winners Award Criteria Methodology
  • The brand nominees have to pass a four tier
    evaluation process and will be first assessed by
    an Evaluation Committee according to criteria set
    by the BrandLaureate International Awards. The
    model ascribes values to each variable (totalling
    up to a maximum of 500 points) in order to assess
    whether the brand qualifies to be considered for
    the award. The methodology covers the following 4
    variables
  • Brand Image and Identity covering the brand
    reputation, brand culture, the brands longevity,
    prestige, consistency and stability Maximum 125
    points
  • Brand Leadership covering Market share, Market
    awareness, Market positioning and the brands
    competitive profile Maximum 125 points
  • The Brands Geography covering internationality,
    ambition, international positioning, relative
    market share and geographic spending 125
    points and
  • Brand Equity including brand performance and
    profitability, brand strategy plus brand
    communications 125 points.
  • Secondly, the entire evaluation process will be
    audited by a Big Four Audit firm. The shortlisted
    brands will be sent for final evaluation and
    official endorsement by an Award Committee. The
    Committee will have the final say on whether a
    shortlisted brand has met the standards befitting
    an awardee of BrandLaureate International Awards
    and its decision shall be final.
