Australia Immigration Changes in 2017

• Australia has made some crucial changes in
  its immigration rules, process and requirements
  in the first quarter of 2017. Introduction of 5
  new Visa Categories is one of such key steps
  taken by the Australian Government this year.
  Lets take a look at these new visa categories.

1. Short Term Skilled Visa- 2Years

• This visa comes under Better Targeting Skilled
  Visa Program, which has recently replaced the 457
  Visa Program. This is a Short Term Visa valid for
  2 years. It will be effective from March, 2018.
  The Visa application fees for this Visa is
  1,150.

2. Medium Term Visa- 4 years

• This is the 2nd Visa category under Better
  Targeting Skilled Visa Program, which has
  recently replaced the 457 Visa Program. This is a
  Medium Term Visa valid for 4 years. It will be
  effective from March, 2018. The Visa application
  fees for this Visa is 2,400.

3. Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa- 3 Years

• The Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa is the new
  parent category visa that will be effective from
  November, 2017. This visa is valid for 3 years.
  The Visa application fees for this Visa is 5,000.

4. Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa- 5 Years

• The Temporary Sponsored Parent Visa is the 2nd
  new parent category visa that will be effective
  from November, 2017. This visa is valid for 5
  years. The Visa application fees for this Visa is
  10,000.

5. Community Support Program

• The Community Support Program Subclass 202
  Visa for Child Care providers will be effective
  from July, 2017. The application fees for this
  Visa program will be 2,680.
