Education Qualification - UGC NET
  • General Category Candidates  55 aggregate in
    Masters Degree or Equivalent Degree
  •  
  • ST/SC/OBC/ PWD Candidates  50 aggregate in
    Masters Degree
  • The appearing candidates of final year are also
    eligible to apply for the examination (provided
    they have to qualify the examination before
    awarding the post).
  •  
  • Those candidates will get 5 relaxation in
    aggregate marks whose masters degree was
    completed by 19th September 1991.

  • The candidates must have passed their PG Degree
    from well recognized Universities and Colleges.

Age Limits to apply for UGC NET
  • The candidates who are applying for the award of
    Junior Research Fellowship must not age more than
    28 years.
  • There are not such upper age limit criteria for
    Assistant Professors.
  • Age Relaxation
  • 5 years age relaxation will be provided to
    candidates belonging to OBC, ST, SC, PWD.
  • 5 years age relaxation will be provided to Women
    Applicants.
