Indian soccer fans will get to see the full
season of Major League Soccer (MLS) for the first
time in India as DSPORT, a dedicated sports
channel from the Discovery Channel cluster, will
telecast the league live from March 04 (0815 am
Indian Time).   Launched in 1996 with 10 teams,
the Major League Soccer embarks on its 22nd year
in the current season. The 22nd edition of the
Major League Soccer features 22 teams including
two new teams in the Atlanta United and Minnesota
United. MLS officially opens its season with a
match between the host Portland Timbers and the
expansion Minnesota United. The Timbers were the
MLS Cup champions in 2015 but failed to make the
playoffs last season. The two teams played to a
2-all draw in the preseason. Players who are
poised to figure prominently in the quest for MLS
Cup 2017 are David Villa (New York City FC),Tim
Howard (Colorado Rapids),JozyAltidore (Toronto
FC),Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders),Giovani Dos
Santos (LA Galaxy),Kaka (Orlando City),Sebastian
