Australia Immigration Changes

• The Month of July always remain special for
  Australia immigration with renewal of Occupation
  lists, etc. However, this time around, the DIBP
  has made some more key changes in Australia
  Immigration Process and Requirements w.e.f. July
  1, 2017. Lets take a look.

1. Release of New Skilled Occupation Lists

• Australia has released its new Skilled
  Occupation Lists, i.e. Medium and Long-term
  Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), Short-term
  Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) and Combined
  List of Eligible Occupations.

2. Changes to Skilled Visa Programs

• Some key changes are being made to Skilled Visa
  Programs of Australia effective July 1, 2017,
  i.e.
• GSM Visa candidates must he under 45 years at
  the time of invitation
• Changes to 457 Visa program process requirements
• New Zealand pathway through 189 visa
• Reforms in Subclass 186 Visa, etc.

3. Online Visitor Visa

• Online Visitor Visa process for few eligible
  countries , i.e. India, China and UAE, as part of
  Priority consideration service for Visitor visa
  applications.

4. Change in Visa Application Charges

• The Government of Australia has revised the
  existing Australian Visa Application Charges from
  July 1, 2017 a part of federal budget 2017-18.

5. New Visa Products

• Australian government has also introduced a new
  visa category, w.e.f. July 1, 2017, i.e.
  Community Support Program establishment. Apart
  from this Temporary sponsored parent visa to be
  introduced from November, 2017 and better
  targeting skilled visas from March, 2018.
