About This Presentation
Title:

AWS - Amazon Web Services

Description:

The AWS Solutions Architect Associate course is designed to help you gain in-depth understanding about AWS architectural principles and services. You will learn how cloud computing is redefining the rules of IT infrastructure architecture, as well as how to design, plan, and scale your AWS Cloud implementation with best practices recommended by Amazon. The course begins with an overview of the AWS platform before diving into its individual elements: IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, ELB, CDN, S3, EIP, KMS, Route53, RDS, Glacier, Snowball, Cloudfront, Dynamo DB, Redshift, Auto Scaling, Cloudwatch, Elastic Cache, CloudTrail, and Security. – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Course CURRICULUM
  • Session 1 1 Hour.AWS Overview     Learning
Objectives In this module, you will learn,
History of AWS and Overview of all AWS products
    and services.TopicsCloud Computing, History of
AWS, Overview of all AWS products and
    services.Session 2 1 Hour.Designing
Learning Objectives In this module, you will
learn How to design cloud services and you will
also learn how to monitor and login.
                          TopicsHow to design cloud
services, Planning and design, Monitoring and
    logging, Hybrid IT architectures

Session 3 2 Hours. IAM
Learning Objectives In this module, you will
learn AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) is
a web service that helps you securely control
access to AWS resources for your users. You use
IAM to control who can use your AWS resources
(authentication) and what resources they can use
and in what ways (authorization). Topics
Overview of IAM, Groups, Users, Roles, Policies,
IAM best practices, IAM costs and prices Session
4 2 Hours. VPC Learning
Objectives In this module, you will learn Amazon
Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) enables you to
launch Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources into a
virtual network that you've defined. This virtual
network closely resembles a traditional network
that you'd operate in your own data center, with
the benefits of using the scalable infrastructure
of AWS. Topics Overview of VPC, VPC, Subnets,
Route Tables, Elastic Ips, Internet Gateway, NAT
Gateways, Network ACLs , Security Groups , VPC
best practices , VPC costs and prices , Building
Your First Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

5
Session 5 3 Hours. EC2
Learning Objectives In this module, you will
learn the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon
EC2) provides scalable computing capacity in the
Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Using Amazon EC2
eliminates your need to invest in hardware up
front, so you can develop and deploy applications
faster. You can use Amazon EC2 to launch as many
or as few virtual servers as you need, configure
security and networking, and manage storage.
Amazon EC2 enables you to scale up or down to
handle changes in requirements or spikes in
popularity, reducing your need to forecast
traffic. Topics Overview of EC2 , EC2 AMIs , EC2
Instance Types , EBS Volumes , EBS Snapshots ,
On-demand vs Spot vs Reserved , Placement Groups
, Load Balancers , Auto Scaling , Lambda ,
Beanstalk , EC2 best practices , EC2 costs and
prices , Creating Amazon EC2 Instances (for
Linux) , Creating Amazon EC2 Instances with
Microsoft Windows, Working with Amazon Elastic
Block Store (EBS) , Working with Elastic Load
Balancing , Configure an Amazon Machine Image
(AMI) , Maintaining High Availability with Auto
Scaling (for Linux). Session 6 3 Hours S3
Learning Objectives In this
module, you can learn the Lifecycle Management,
how to provide security and security, and you
will also learn how to create an AWS S3 bucket
and how to upload a file and how to install CLI
Tools to manage S3.

Topics Overview of S3, S3 Buckets,
Version Control, Lifecycle Management (General
Purpose, IA, Glacier) , Cloudfront CDNs ,
Security Encryption , Import/Export Snowball
, S3 best practices ,S3 costs and prices , Create
an AWS S3 bucket and upload a file , Caching
Static Files with Amazon Cloud Front , Installing
and using CLI Tools to manage S3.
6
Session 7 2 Hours Route53 Learning
Objectives In this module, you will learn the
overview of Route5, and you will also learn how
to configure a Route53 zone.
Topics Overview of Route5, DNS, Routing
Policies, Route53 best practices, Route 53 costs
and prices, Configure a Route53 Zone. Session 8
3 Hours Databases
Learning
Objectives In this module, you will learn the
overview of databases and how to install, you
will learn databases costs and prices, and you
will also how to launch an RDS instance and how
it can be connected remotely.
Topics Overview of
databases, RDS, AMI/Self Install, Licensing, SQL
vs NoSQL, DynamoDB, RedShift, Elasticache,
Aurora, Database Migration Services (DMS),
Databases best practices, Databases costs and
prices, Launch an RDS instance and connect to it
remotely, DMS demo. Session 9 2
Hours Application Services Learning Objectives
In this module, you will learn the overview of
application services, elastic transcoder and you
will also learn application services costs and
prices. Topics Overview of databases, Overview
of Application Service, SQS, SWF, SNS, Elastic
Transcoder, Application Services best practices,
Application Services costs and prices
7
Session 10 3 Hours Security Practices for
Optimum Cloud Deployment Learning Objectives In
this module, you will learn AWS administration
and security services, how to compliance the AWS
platform and how to incorporate common
conventional security products, how to design
patterns and finding the key services. You will
also learn how to configure Cloud Watch to
monitor your instances and alert.
