Title: Background Check
1Failure to Research Employees in the Top Five
Bad Workplace Causes
A review has been put out studying the reasons
why good workers leave the workplace, and
failure to properly research potential
employees for whether or not they would be a good
fit has come in as one of the top five. When you
consider the current culture, the one of
entitlement, over sensitiveness and pure
selfishness, this information should not come as
a surprise. People tend to view themselves as
perfect, and they are unwilling to make the
necessary changes to enable them to play well
with others. This means that unless they fall in
advance into the perfect job location, they
arent going to stay. While this situation may
well be far from ideal, it isnt the end of the
labor market, either. In todays age of
algorithms, it is entirely possible to find out
who is a good fit and who isnt before you
actually hire someone. How? Background checks.
Thats how. You see, a background check is more
than just seeing whether or not someone has a
criminal background. Its also about finding out
about a persons habits and mannerisms, likes
and dislikes, how well he plays with others, and
other useful and pertinent information. According
ly, a background check is probably the first and
foremost security line that you should put into
place to ensure that you actually get workers
that would be an asset to your team, not a drag
on it. Of course, you can always take an
alternate route, and train up and hire American
military vets. These former soldiers will be able
to adapt to almost any environment, and they
always play well on a team. More importantly,
they have trained in a culture and mindset that
is the precise opposite of the current
problematic millennial one, a culture where
loyalty counts and honor prevails, where you
earn your way and deserve your keep. Where they
actually know that there is no I in team. Yes,
everybody talks about it, but these fellows lived
it. They are most certainly the best employees
that you can find.
