ABOUT The 40-story, 2.4 billion Venetian Macao
in China is the largest casino in the world.
Owned by the Las Vegas Sands corporation, the
Venetian Macao is the largest building in Asia
and fifth-largest building in the world by area
at 10.5 million square feet (980,000 square
meters). Officially opening on August 28, 2007,
the casino welcomed its 8 millionth customer in
just 133 days after launch! Below you will find
pictures, facts and highlights on this beast
from the East.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES There are various amenities
and activities in The Venetian but the most
popular attraction is the Gondola. Guests who
will ride the gondola will be able to visit the
San Luca, Marco Polo, and grand canals. They
will also have the option to make stopovers at
souvenir shops and poolside cabanas. If the
guests riding the gondola are a couple, they may
have the gondolier serenade them throughout the
romantic journey.
GAMING OPTIONS The gaming area in The Venetian is
so huge that it has been divided into 4 gaming
areas namely Red Dragon, Golden Fish, Imperial
House and Phoenix. The casino has a whopping
number of gaming slots and tables. To date, there
are over 3,400 slot machines and 800 table games
for cards in the 4 gaming areas.
DINING OPTIONS Being the biggest hotel and casino
establishment in Macau, The Venetian offers a
huge selection of dining experience. It has 11
Chinese fine dining restaurants, 4
Asian-international fusion bistros, 6
western-themed dining areas, and a Japanese
restaurant. Guests who are looking for a quick
bite can also find a McDonalds and food court
inside.
