Canada Needs ICT Professionals

• As per recent report, Canada needs about
  1,80,000 ICT professionals by 2019 to combat the
  skills shortage its ICT sector and other
  industries. This is the reason that several
  Canadian provinces are targeting ICT occupations
  through their respective immigration programs.
  Lets take a look.

1. Ontario

• Ontario has recently announced that it will
  focus on issuing NOI (Notification of Interest)
  to ICT occupations via its Ontario Immigrant
  Nominee Program (OINP). It also announced that it
  will invite ICT occupations, even if their CRS
  Score is below the qualifying marks for OINP,
  i.e. 400 points.

2. British Columbia

• The BCPNP is the Provincial Nominee Program
  (PNP) of British Columbia. Between May to July
  2017, the BCPNP launched six draws targeting ICT
  workers, though the number of invitations have
  not been revealed by the BCPNP as yet.

3. Saskatchewan

• Saskatchewan is also the key province of Canada.
  Recently the Saskatchewan is focusing on issuing
  invitations to the ICT occupations through its
  popular PNP, i.e. Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee
  Program (SINP).

4. Nova Scotia

• Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is another
  largely popular Provincial Nominee Program of
  Canada. Every intake of NSNP closes quickly in
  view of huge number of applicants. NSNP is
  inviting considerable number of ICT Occupation
  through its periodic draws.

5. New Brunswick

• New Brunswick Province of Canada is inviting
  significant number of ICT professionals through
  its popular Provincial Nominee Program, i.e. New
  Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).

6. Global Talent Stream (GTS)

• Apart from PNPs, the Canadian Government has
  also launched the Global Talent Stream (GTS) to
  allows Canadian employers to hire the talented
  ICT professionals from overseas quickly through
  faster work permit option.
