Who is Colette Prevost? Colette Prevost is a
recognized name in the field of gender equity,
empowerment, child welfare, cultural diversity
and aboriginal issues in Canada. She has worked
for the development and management of social
services and mental health services in Northern
Ontario.

How long has she been working in social
services? She has almost 30 years of experience
working in social services. Over the years, she
has worked with different organizations including
YWCA Sudbury, Community Counselling Centre of
Nipissing and York Region Childrens Aid.
Currently, she serves as Sessional Faculty at
Laurentian University.

Does she have any training? Colette Prevost has
a certificate of completion of Rotman School of
Business in Leadership. She completed her
Bachelor of Social Work degree from Laurentian
University and her Master of Social Work degree
from Wilfrid Laurier University.

How she gained a name for herself in social
services? While working with different
organizations, she worked in the areas of policy
development, board governance, and staff
training. With her strong organizational vision,
she has achieved many things in this field. She
is known for her skills in public speaking,
leadership, program management, and coalition
building.
