• For anyone who is ready to travels this summer
  but needs to renew a passport, the procedure has
  lately been made a little easier. Instead of
  checking down a photo booth and paying for a
  passport as you usual, you can now take your own
  digital passport photo at home. You'll need to
  find someone to help you, as you can't make it
  yourself - means any selfies. You can't show off
  your best smile either.

• Find A Digital Camera and photographer You can
  take your passport photos by using a digital
  camera, you need to find someone to click the
  photos for you as you cant submit selfies for
  that you need a friend or family member.

• Find Background and Right Position For passport
  photos, it is important to use a plain background
  either cream or light gray, avoid textured or
  wallpaper background and there should be no other
  object in the frame. The distance between you and
  your photographer should be 1.5 meters and .5
  meters ahead of the wall.

• 3.Understanding of the Right Space You are not
  supposed to crop your photos, passport office
  will do it as per their requirement. Kindly check
  the space between your shoulders and your head
  there must be enough room for crop.
• Light is Crucial Natural light is the best for
  passport photo. There should be no shadow behind
  or on your face standing close to any kind of
  artificial light will effect your picture.

• Get Rid of Headwear Headwear's are not accepted,
  caps, scarfs, hair clips, glasses over your head
  is not right, unless their is any religious or
  medical reasons.
• Your Eyes and Face should be Clearly Visible
  Your complete face should be visible, tie your
  hairs back if they are covering your face or
  eyes. It's better to remove your glasses if
  possible, or else make sure their's no glare.
  It's important to clearly see your eyes in the
  image.
• Do Not Smile You are not supposed to gave any
  expression in front of the camera with mouth
  closed, make sure that the image is clear and
  focused.
