  • Do you why Rajasthan is called as the Land of
the Maharajas? It is because of the enthralling
destinations around the city, the marvelously
sculptured architecture of palaces and the
amazing and legendary tales of kings winning
every battle making it no less than an
    awe-striking saga.
  • Though this city is known as the driest state
with deserts around and a land of art, culture,
and tradition, it has never failed to captivate
the attention of the tourists thus making it
lively and one of the best tourist spots of
    India.
  • Once you step here, you would not miss seeing
forts almost at every location making it
incredibly attractive and a must- see
destination. So, travel with me through this blog
to keep yourself updated on some of the forts here

  • Amber Fort, Jaipur
  • Situated at a distance of 11km from Jaipur in
Rajasthan, this fort is also known by Amer fort
that draws tourists from almost all parts of the
    world.
  • Constructed fully in marble and red sandstones,
this palace was once the residence of the Rajput
kings that holds the following Diwan- e- Aam,
Divan-e-Khaas, Sheesh Mahal and Sukh Niwas.
  • Here you can see the Hindu tradition depicted in
    an art form.

  • Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
  • Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur was built by Rathore
king Rao Jodha in the year 1459 and is one of the
largest forts in the nation that draws a flock of
tourists from varied parts of the world.
  • The astonishing part is that this fort is still
run by the ancestors of the king. Constructed on
a 120m tall hill, this fort stands almost 400
feet from the mainland built with thick walls on
all sides. This fort houses seven entry gates
where tourists mainly visit through the iron gate
called as Lohapol where one can see the
    inscriptions of widows sacrificing themselves.

5
  • Junagarh Fort, Bikaner
  • Earlier known as Chintamani was renamed to Old
Fort or Junagarh Fort in the 20th century.
Constructed in the Bikaner city of Rajasthan,
this is an art form that reflects precision,
meticulously carved architecture and a strong
defense structure. The ideal part played by this
fort so far is that though attacked by many
    enemies it was never captured
  • So, when are you planning to visit?
