A root canal involves the following steps

• Your mouth is numbed with an anesthetic and a

• This pulp is replaced by a material that
  strengthens your tooth and keeps bacteria from
  entering
• Finally, this material is replaced by a filling
  or a crown

painful but that is a decades-old tale. In the

hurt however in the very beginning of it, your
mouth is numbed with an anesthetic. Which just
pricks your gums lightly. Since you are given

experience any pain at all.
