  • If you live in a rural area, you probably have a
septic tank instead of a pipe connection.
Maintaining a septic tank is not difficult
because newer systems work efficiently when you
    follow some basic rules.
  • Plumber Lakewood knows very well how to keep a
    septic tank clean and smooth.

3
  • Proper installation is the key.  The septic
system must be properly installed by a Plumber
Lakewood to avoid problems in the future. A good
idea is to perform a soil test or percolation
test to confirm that the soil will support a
septic system. Also, verify that the property has
the conditions required for a septic system that
    does not cause problems.

4
  • Do not overload the septic tank and drainage
area. The resident must check that there are no
leaks in the faucets and bathrooms. If necessary,
hire a Plumber Toms River for these repairs. It
uses aerators in the faucets and reducing nozzles
of flow in the showers to help reduce the
consumption of water. Reduces water level in
small laundry loads. Use a shifter to reduce the
amount of water needed to flush the toilet.

5
  • Do not use the toilet as a means of waste
disposal. Never throw cat litter, disposable
diapers, napkins, tampons, paper towel, damp
towels, coffee beans, or cigarette butt into the
toilet. Such objects obstruct septic tanks in
less time than you can imagine.

6
  • Do not discard grease in the drain. Fat can clog
the septic drainage area, making it impossible
for the floor to absorb liquids. If you put too
much grease in the drain, you will need a new
drainage area, which can be costly.

7
  • Diverts rainwater from the septic drainage area.
A soaked drainage area will not absorb and
neutralize liquid waste. Plan the garden, roof
chute, and drain so that excess water is diverted
    from the septic drainage area.

8
  • Keep the septic tank away from the trees.
Prevents root damage by keeping trees at least 30
meters from a septic system. Trees with very
aggressive roots, such as willows, must be
    further from the system.

9
  • Minimizes the use of strong cleaners. Excessive
use of strong cleaners kills beneficial bacteria
in the septic tank, so solids will not break down
    as well.

10
  • Avoid harmful chemicals. Varnish, paint
thinners, engine oil, gasoline and other similar
chemicals can ruin the system and are a danger to
groundwater. Store used chemicals in suitable
containers and dispose of them as needed.

11
  • Protects the system from damage. Do not drive
over the drainage area, build a structure over it
or cover it with concrete or asphalt. Do not
plant grass over the drainage area to minimize
    soil erosion.

12
  • Have regular maintenance. Eventually, the solid
waste must be pumped from the well. Many experts
suggest that a family of four with a
thousand-gallon septic tank should pump the well
after three or five years of use.

13
  • The plumber Toms River or plumber
Lakewood experts claim that you never try to open
a septic tank yourself as it contains dangerous
    gases and bacteria.
