Overview of SAP ABAP

• ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming)
  is the programming language used for developing
  business applications for the SAP R/3 system. It
  runs in the SAP ABAP runtime environment and is
  used for the development of application programs,
  including reports, module pool programming,
  interfaces, forms and data conversions. It has
  evolved over these years and now includes Object
  Oriented language extensions.
