Toothaches
  • Rinse your mouth with warm water.
  • Can also apply a cold compress to the outside of
    your mouth (if your mouth is swollen).
  • It will surely make you feel relaxed.

Knocked-out tooth
  • Must retrieve the tooth, hold it by the crown.
  • You can also Rinse off the tooth root with clean
    water if it's dirty.
  • You should try to put the tooth back in place and
    visit the nearest dentist early.

Broken braces and wires
  • Use eraser end of a pencil to push the wire into
    comfortable position.
  • If you can't reposition it, cover the end with
    orthodontic wax or a small cotton ball until you
    reach your dentist.

Soft-tissue injuries
  • To stop bleeding and relieve pain, you have to
    hold a cold compress to outside of cheek/mouth
    for 10 minutes.
  • Use mild salt-water to rinse your mouth.
  • If bleeding doesnt stop, visit your dentist
    immediately.

Lost filling
  • Temporarily, you can stick a piece of sugarless
    gum in the area.
  • You can also use an over-the-counter dental
    cement.
  • More importantly, visit your dentist as early as
    possible.

Abscess
  • Apparently, Abscesses are severe infections.
    Thus, see your dentist immediately.
  • However, to relieve the pain you can rinse your
    mouth using a mild salt water.
