Title: In Row Cooling Units System

In Row Cooling Units System
2
  • In-Row Cooling is our latest Thermal Management
system and is an advanced precision A/C unit,
which is tailor made for the targeted cooling of
    racks.
  • The innovative air conduction has been enhanced
    by state-of-the-art technology, which enhances
    the performance, flexibility and efficiency.
  • Fluctuating server rack loads, space
restrictions, lack of a raised floor, existing
server technology - these are some of the tricky
situations in everyday practice that the in-row
cooling has been specially developed to deal with.

3
  • Inrow Cooling Units precisely cools and
conditions air in close proximity and is targeted
cooling at the banks of server cabinets that fill
    the data center.
  • They can be installed on the floor or suspended
from overhead making them closer to the actual
    rack.
  • This setup offers both capacity and efficiency
    gains.
  • Neither cool air nor warm exhaust air has far to
travel, allowing the units to dissipate high heat
loads quicker and allows a more scalable approach
    to cooling your data center.

4
  • In-rack cooling offers the highest efficiency
    among air-based systems.
  • These systems require more thought and design
than a simple retrofit rear-door cooler, however.
  • Chillers are placed directly into the rack,
taking in ambient air and pushing it to the
outside via some type of heat exchanger.
  • Vendors of in-rack cooling systems include
Emerson Network Power, 42U and APC by Schneider
    Electric.

5
The row-oriented architecture has a number of
side benefits other than cooling performance
  • The reduction in the airflow path length reduces
the CRAC fan power required, increasing
    efficiency.
  • A row-oriented design allows cooling capacity and
redundancy to be targeted to specific rows.
  • Row-based cooling allows a data center, computer
room, or server room to be implemented without a
    raised floor.
  • In-Row Cooling Units allows for varied room
    designs and constraints.
  • For example, load-bearing supports can be managed
at the row level rather than trying to handle at
    the room level

6
  • There are just so many benefits, from the way
    in-row cooling efficiently captures and
neutralizes warm air from denser IT loads, to
economizer mode, which once it pays for itself,
goes straight the good of the operating bottom
    line, said Cefalu.
  • It important to be able to help users establish
ROI, assist them with deployment options, and
just build off of the desire that operators have
around running data centers that are more
organized, efficient, and capable of handling
    high density loads.
