Now that the days are getting shorter and colder,
it can seem easy to forget that its still a
beautiful time of year to be outside! Sometimes
it can seem easy to stay indoors and do the same
old things with the kids, like going to the
cinema or softplay. But there are loads of great
autumn activities out there to enjoy, and have
seasonal fun before winter comes!

Maize Maze
These mazes cut into fields of living maize
plants are a great outdoor attraction in the
autumn. Not only is there the big maze as the
central attraction, but usually events hold a
host of other things to do like mini-mazes,
farmyard animals, inflatables, pedal go-karts,
and more! There's also usually lots of tasty
local, in-season food served at each site. Not to
mention, some mazes are even a part of larger
local attractions!Youre sure to find one near
you, and have an a-maze-ing day out!

Halloween Themes
At this time of year, there are a LOT of
Halloween theme events going on, so you and the
kids can enjoy some spooky fun! There are some
amazing places to visit at the best of times that
are hosting some special events to get you and
the little ones in the mood for Halloween! One
great place to visit is the Isle of Wight steam
railway, who is hosting a special wizard week',
where friendly witches take over the trains and
brew potions on the train and casting spells
alone the woodland walks.

Enjoy Team FireWorks
Everyone knows that when autumn comes, the leaves
change colour. Sometimes, its great to go back
to nature and enjoy the beauty just outside! Kids
imaginations really feed off the changing world
around them, seeing things like paintings and
fireworks in the vibrant leaves. Not to mention,
this time of year is great for seeing animals
getting ready for winter. Like squirrels
collecting nuts, or birds eating all the berries
they can, or even hedgehogs getting ready to
hibernate.

As well as the beautiful tree fireworks that are
on offer outside, there are also some fabulous
firework festivals and events all over the
country. Fireworks have long been a popular
autumn activity for families thanks to the long,
clear nights, and Guy Fawkes night. Firework
nights are a sure-fire way to spend an amazing
evening with your family.

Indoor Thrills
There are loads of fun things to do inside other
than softplay or watching films. Weve been
writing all kinds of articles on fun days out
indoors that you might not have thought about!
You could try a new sport like indoor go-karting,
which gives the kids an exciting, novel day out
