OLED refers to organic light-emitting diode. The
term organic denotes to the occurrence of
organic carbon-based molecules in the emissive
(light-emitting) coating. In a single pixel of
OLED the organic layer is inserted between two
conductors, acathode and an anode.
Stereotypically, both or one of the conductors
are translucent. It reacts when electricity is
passed through the organic layer and then it
emits light.

electroluminescent layer is a film of organic
compound that emits light in response to an
