• For the senior citizens of Uttarakhand, the
  former government had started 'My elderly my
  pilgrimage' and now this financed government has
  changed its name to 'Pandit Deen Dayal
  Matra-Pitra Tirthatan Yojana'.

• The scheme will be implemented from September,
  2017 in the state and will be sent to the buses.
  This scheme has also been changed in the travel
  destinations along with the name change.

• Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay can take advantage of
  the Mother Goddess Tirthatan Yojana only to
  senior citizens of Uttarakhand.
• The benefits of this scheme are only senior
  citizens.
• Senior citizens coming in the income tax filing
  for this scheme will not be eligible.
• "Retired senior citizens have not been included
  in the Apply Pandya Deendayal Upadhyaya
  Matra-Pitra Tirthankar Yojana.

• The first phase of journey will begin in October
  2017 and citizens are advised to check all the
  particulars of Pandit Deen Dayal Matra-Pitra
  Tirthatan Yojana before application. More details
  about the Pilgrimage are available at the
  District Tourism Development Officer or the SDM
