If you are a beginner with Roku device, then
check out the way to link your streaming device
with the A/V receiver. Check out the steps below.
  • All Roku users, are you doing great with your
    Roku streaming device? Since the launch, the
    streaming device has become one of the ultimate
    players in the category of all the streaming
    devices available in the market. In the case, if
    you are just about to start with your Roku
    device, then do remember that you will require a
    Roku com link to activate your Roku account.

Roku player and a standard definition TV
  • Connection -
  • Head on to link the 3.5mm end to the back side of
    the Roku player.
  • After that, link the composite end to the
    parallel yellow/white/red connectors on the TV.
  • Roku Setting -
  • There will be stereo only and in the settings,
    head on to set the Audio mode to Auto.

Roku Player with a high definition TV (HDTV) only

  • Connection -
  • Just head to link one end of the HDMI cable to
    the back side of the Roku player.
  • Also, link the other end to an HDMI connector on
    the TV. (No HDMI cable is included).
  • Roku Setting -
  • There is the requirement of surround sound and
    Stereo.
  • For the stereo, head to the Settings and then set
    the Audio mode to the Stereo.
  • For the Surround sound, just head to the Settings
    and then set the Audio mode to Auto. The Roku
    player will directly detect the ability of the
    linked device and then decide the optimal
    surround setting.
  • And on the other Roku models, just head to
    Settings and then set the Audio Mode to Surround
    sound.

Roku Player along with an HDTV and HDMI AVR-
  • Connection -
  • Just head to link one end of the HDMI cable to
    the back side of the Roku player.
  • Now, you will require linking the other side to
    an available HDMI input on the AVR.
  • Head on to make the connection from the HDMI
    output of the AVR to an HDMI input available on
    the TV.
  • Note For having the DD audio, the AVR must be
    capable with the DD. (No HDMI cable is
    required).

  • Connection -
  • Head to link one end of the HDMI cable to the
    back side of the Roku Player.
  • Now, you will require linking the other side to
    an available HDMI input on the AVR.
  • Head on to make the connection from the HDMI on
    the TV to an HDMI output of the receiver that
    provides supports for ARC.
  • Note 1 - The receiver should be capable of ARC.
    You can head to consult your AVR product
    documentation.
  • Note 2 - For the DD audio, the AVR must be
    capable of DD. (No HDMI cable is required).
