Telangana day to be celebrated in Jeddah

• The Consulate General of India in Jeddah will
  celebrate Telangana Day at Saudi Arabia between
  December 15 and 16.
• To mark the occasion, a series of cultural
  programmes have been lined-up during for the
  two-days.
• The Indian Embassy is collaborating with Saudi
  Indian Business Network and Jeddah Telangana
  Community to organize the event and promote
  States rich culture and investment
  opportunities, especially in Hyderabad for Saudi
  Arabias business and corporate firms.

Goa to start Indias first mobile food testing
laboratory

• Indias first mobile food testing laboratory,
  which will enable on-the- spot food safety tests
  to be conducted in Goa, would be launched by CM
  Manohar Parrikar On 10/12/2017.
• The vehicle is equipped to conduct on-the- spot
  tests to check the food quality.
• It will also check the hygiene level of water, he
  said adding that the results can be received
  within 15 minutes.

Indias first Military Literature Festival began
in Chandigarh

• A large number of military veterans, experts,
  scholars, writers, journalists, war
  correspondents, historians, artists, researchers
  and industrialists have come together to share
  their experiences.
• The two-day Military Literature Festival is being
  organized jointly by the Punjab government, the
  Chandigarh Administration and the Western Command.

Donald trump recognized Jerusalem as Israels
capital

• President Donald Trump has recognised Jerusalem
  as Israels capital, overturning decades of US and
  international policy on the disputed holy city, a
  hugely controversial decision.
• Trump said he had judged this course of action
  to be in the best interests of the United States
  of America, and the pursuit of peace between
  Israel and the Palestinians.
• Trump said he has determine that it is time to
  officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of
  Israel

Dangal wins Best Asian Film at AACTA

• Dangal wins Best Asian Film at the Australian
  Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA)
  Awards! The seventh annual event took place on
  6th December 2017.
• The ceremonys Grand Jury President Russell Crowe
  announced the win on the stage.
• Lion found remarkable success by winning a
  jaw-dropping 12 awards! These include Best Film
  and Best Direction. Sunny Parwar and Dev Patel
  also took home Best Lead Actor and Best
  Supporting Actor respectively.

Sanjay Manjrekar autobiography Imperfect soon
to be released

• Sanjay Manjrekar is all set to release his
  autobiography Imperfect on December 25, 2017.
  
• The publishers for the book is Harper Collins. It
  captures his journey from Mumbai dusty maidans to
  conquering combative bowling.
• It also delves deep into his relationship with
  his father Vijay, also a former Indian cricketer,
  and the effects of his personality in young
  Sanjays game.
• He played in two World Cups (1992 and 1996) for
  India, and also captained Mumbai to a Ranji
  Trophy win.
