Imam Abufarah is from Saudi Arabia Originally. He
was moved to the USA when he was 15. Imam Helmi
Agha studied Quran, IslamicHistory, and Fiqh
until he was 15 and after moving to the USA he
continued his studies in Islamic Studies.

Imam Abufarah had the chance to learn from
well-known scholars like Dr. Shiekh Mohamad
NuhAlqudah, Sh. Zakaria Gasmallah and Sh. Ibrahim
Madani.

Imam was also enrolled in college where he took
the major in business and minor in political
science. Imam Helmi Agha is still studying B.A in
Islamic studies from Islamic Open University in
California.

Imam Abufarah worked as a clergy in past recent
years in different places. He volunteered as a
clergyman atFlorida Celebration Hospital, Orlando
Regional Medical Center, and Florida Childrens
Hospital.

As an Imam, he gave his services to Kissimmee and
Chicago. Helmi Abufarah El Agha had the credit of
co-founding the American Muslim Leadership
Council (AML COUNCIL) and Kissimmee Care
Foundation (KCF).

Helmi Abufarah El Agha founded the program
Bridge the Gap in 2013 where he invited all the
authoritative people to the RoundTable and
discussed the current events and American Muslim
Community in Florida. Since 2013 there have been
many other meetings that took place.

Helmi Abufarah El Agha also started the first
community outreach program in which cultural
sensitivity was discussed. He also started the
course Baby Steps to guide people about Islam
Basics.
