HEMME Approach to Medical Errors will explore
medical errors by using three steps (1) Define
soft-tissue therapy(2) Define the HEMME
Approach,(3) Show how the HEMME Approach can be
used to avoid medical errors. Using a systems
theory approach such as the HEMME Approach to
prevent or reduce medical errors is not unique
since most hospitals and clinics are already
using a systems theory approach of one type or
another to standardize procedures and improve
patient safety.

Goal

• To analyze the root causes for medical errors and
  suggest ways to prevent or reduce errors that
  jeopardize the safety of a patient.
