Key Updates for 2018
  • Year 2017 was amazing for the Canada
    immigration applicants in terms of massive
    express entry draws and huge number of people
    invited by IRCC.
  • Well, year 2018 is going to be no different in
    this regard, as Canadian government has got more
    to offer the applicants in the next year. Lets
    take a look at a few key Canada immigration
    updates in 2018.

Increased Immigration Target in 2018
  • As per Canadas Multiyear Immigration plan
    (2018-2020) revealed in November 2017, Canadian
    government will invite nearly one million people
    as permanent residents in next three years. So,
    the 2018 immigration target is increased too,
    i.e. 310,000 immigrants a year.

AINP- Express Entry Stream is launching in
January 18
  • Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) will
    introduce its Express Entry stream in January
    2018. With the new EE stream, Canadian province
    Alberta will now be able to notify and
    subsequently nominate the suitable skilled
    workers from Express Entry pool of candidates.

MPNP- New Business Plan to launch in 1st Quarter
of 2018
  • New Business Investment Stream (BIS) of
    Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will
    open with new Changes in 1st Quarter of 2018.
    The existing business stream has been closed by
    the Manitoba government for the new EOIs
    (Expression of Interests). It will now be
    replaced by new BIS stream, which will be
    functional in the 1st quarter of the next year
    (probably in March 2018).

Parent Grandparent Program to open in January
18
  • Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP) of
    Canada will reopen on January 2, 2018 to accept
    the new Interest to Sponsor forms from the
    Canadian permanent residents and citizens
    interested in sponsoring their parents for
    Permanent Residency in Canada.
