Title: Motor Insurance Policy in India | Best Car Insurance
1(No Transcript)
2Motor Insurance Motor Vehicle Insurance or Motor
Insurance is as necessary and important as our
own Life Insurance or other insurances. Motor
Insurance basically gives financial protection or
financial coverage against physically damaged or
bodily injuries causing from accidents or
colliding with other vehicles etc. It also
provides the same financial cover to the vehicles
against theft, accidental damages, engine
breakdown damage and other covers that vary from
policy to policy and region to region. Motor
Insurance includes car insurance, two wheeler
insurance or any type of commercial vehicle
insurance.
3Further this insurance can be classified as First
Party Insurance and Third Party Insurance. First
Party Insurance is a type of insurance where the
insured or first party is paid by the insurer or
second party on the occasion of any accidental
injury or loss caused while driving by himself or
herself or by someone else subject to while
driving. Such cover is to protect the insured or
first party while he or she is driving on road.
4Whereas Third Party Insurance as the name itself
suggests the third party being involved, no cover
provided to the first or second party i.e. the
insurance bearer or insured, first party or even
the insurance provider or insurer, second party.
In case of any kind of accidental loss/collision
loss to the vehicle of the third party caused
during or by the driving of the first party, the
third party is covered for all such losses
whereas the loss or damages caused to the first
party is to be solely born by himself or herself.
5Whereas motor insurance or auto insurance is
compulsory in India, people often choose among
first party insurance and third party insurance.
However motor insurance doesnt covers the normal
wear and tear of the vehicle like depreciation,
regular damages to the tyres, car breakdown or
servicing expenses, mechanical or other
electrical breakdown, break failure, vehicle
being driven outside the covered area or region,
drunken driving accidents, loss caused in the
state of war etc.
6The inclusions and non-coverage depends upon the
insurer and the policy taken. In the end we can
only say that, motor insurance is on the one hand
a necessity and on the other hand an additional
safety cover for both or all the parties involved
during the accidents or collision. Drive Safe
Stay Safe!!
