INTRODUCTION
  • Since ancient times, humans and plants have had a
    very spiritual connection - plants capture solar
    energy and convert it into nutrients that humans
    can digest.
  • Each and every herb in Ayurvedic herbology has a
    multitude of benefits - for the mind, body, and
    spirit.
  • Herbs can be used internally or externally
    (through the skin) - or even used as
    aromatherapy.

1. Brahmi
  • Brahmi is the tonic for the brain and nervous
    system.
  • Brahmi also balances the left and right
    hemispheres of the brain, and decalcifies the
    pineal gland.
  • It is tridoshic, but is especially beneficial for
    balancing high Pitta conditions.
  • Brahmi removes toxins and blockages from the
    nervous system.
  • It helps with depression, enhances intelligence
    and improves memory and concentration.

2. Ashwagandha
  • Ashwagandha is used for arthritis, anxiety,
    trouble sleeping (insomnia), tumors,
    tuberculosis, asthma, a skin condition marked by
    white patchiness (leukoderma), bronchitis,
    backache, fibromyalgia, menstrual problems,
    hiccups, and chronic liver disease.
  • Ashwagandha is also used as an adaptogen to
    help the body cope with daily stress, and as a
    general tonic.
  • Some people also use ashwagandha for improving
    thinking ability, decreasing pain and swelling
    (inflammation), and preventing the effects of
    aging. It is also used for fertility problems in
    men and women and also to increase sexual desire.
  • Ashwagandha is applied to the skin for treating
    wounds, backache, and one-sided paralysis
    (hemiplegia).

3. Cumin
  • Cumin enhances the digestive system and
    metabolism.
  • It helps the body with nutrient absorption.
  • Cumin can be especially useful for new moms after
    giving birth, as it cleanses the reproductive
    organs and improves milk secretion.
  • Use cumin while cooking to assist in the
    assimilation of micronutrients.

4.Malabar Nut
  • Malabar Nut is an important herb in Ayurveda
    treatments of bronchial problems.
  • It is mainly used to treat of the cough,
    bronchitis, asthma etc.

    counts in blood.

    peptic ulcer, piles etc. It's local use may give

    of the bulb mixed with either ghee or milk can
    consumed as a drink .

6. Turmeric
  • Curcumin is the main active ingredient in

  • The compound curcumin present in turmeric has
    been known to interfere with cancer development
