2018. CBSE introduces some changes in the
overall structure of JEE Main such as exam modes,
languages, centres, pattern, eligibility

3What's New in JEE Main 2018
Slot Booking Candidates of JEE Main 2018 Exam
have to apply online only. There is no printed
application form for JEE Main. The candidates are
able to select their slots for the online
exam. Admission in IITs and NITs Candidates
should have obtained at least 75 marks (65
SC/ST) in 12th class or should be in top 20
percentile in the 12th class conducted by their
respective board to appear in JEE Main.
4What's New in JEE Main 2018
No Weightage to 12th Standard Marks No
weightage would be given to 12th marks while
calculating the JEE Main Rank List. Number of
Participating Institutes Earlier, in JEE
Mains Exam, 23 IIITs and 20 CFITs were
participated. But this year, the number of
participating institutes are changed. Indian
Institutes of Information Technology have been
reduced to 20 from 23 that means 3 IITs would not
be participating in Exam and CFITs have been
increased to two that means 22 CFITs would be
participating in JEE Mains.

Changes in Application Forms
Parents/Guardians signature copy in jpg format
have to uploaded by the candidates who are
applying for JEE Mains Exam mandatorily otherwise
the application form will be rejected. Number
of Test Centres The test centres for JEE
Mains are also increased by the CBSE in India as
well as outside of India. Total 145 test centres
have been added this year that means JEE Mains
exam will be held at 258 centres.
6What's New in JEE Main 2018
JK, Assam, Meghalaya Candidates from JK,
Assam, Meghalaya will have to provide their
passport, ration card or any other valid IDs
card numbers. Changes in Test Paper Medium
Last year the exam was conducted in Hindi,
English, Gujrati, Marathi and Urdu medium. But
this year JEE Mains will be conducted in English
Hindi medium for all exam centres except
Gujrat, Daman Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli where
it will be conducted in Hindi, English and
Gujrati languages.

Number of Candidates shortlisted for JEE
Advanced The candidates who are shortlisted
for taking JEE Advanced by qualifying JEE Mains
has been increased by 4000. Earlier, only 2.2
Lakh candidates were eligible to appear in
Advanced exam but this year, 2.24 Lakh candidates
will be eligible. Candidates must know about
whats new in JEE Mains 2018 Exam so they will be
