1
Silk Road An Unforgettable Trip of a Lifetime
  • The term Silk Road evokes a romantic era when
caravans of camels, horses and mules transported
everything from jade and gunpowder to pieplant
and, of course, silk between the countries.
Associated with Coleridge, Marco, Polo, Western
notions of the Orient, and fabled trading hubs
such as Kashgar and Samarkand, it provides for
modern travellers a myth-laden high road through
    an exotic and wild landscape.
  • Great Silk Road tour is simply unforgettable
along the ancient caravan roads via such
    countries as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan,
    Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia. You will
definitely experience lots of interesting things
they still produce featherlight silk in a
traditional way in the cities located on the
route of the Silk Road just like hundreds years
ago and the noisy bazaars smell scents of spices.
  • Long time existence and development of this silk
road led to a different cultural symbiosis. The
result being present Silk Road tour will bring
you in the traces of Buddhism in Kazakhstan, and
grand architectural monuments from the Temurids
    period in Uzbekistan.

2
  • Because of the strange recent history of the Silk
Road countries, the collocation will attract most
visitors. Youll see Lada cars on the road and
    surviving Lenin monuments as well.
  • As much of Central Asia consists of rugged
mountains, you can also enjoy the adventure of
trekking here and people are warm and welcoming.
The boiled horsemeat, buttery tea and fermented
    mares milk are still cherished.
  • With their mosques and markets, Samarkand,
Bukhara and Khiva present in Uzbekistan have long
been the most sparkly cities for visitors from
all over the world to central Asia.
  • Though somewhat strangled by strict conservation
measures, Samarkands old town remains the most
mindful and wonderful looking city on the Silk
Road. Bukhara is mainly known as Central Asias
holiest centre, and the old city here is still
very much a living space. Khiva has been
embellished, but its winding back lanes and
minaret look simply stunning at dawn and dusk.
Tashkent is a mix of thrusting capital city,
sleepy Uzbek town, and leafy Soviet suburb and
    provides some contrast.
