About Nit Srinagar
National Institute of Technology, Srinagar is one
of the head Educational Institutes in the
Northern Regions of the nation. It was set up in
1960 and has been one of the eighteen Regional
Engineering Colleges supported by the Govt. of
India during The Institute obtained the status of
National Institute of Technology with considered
to be University status during August, 2003 and
achieved full self-rule in its Academics.

Admission
Exam accepted for the undergraduate courses is
Jee Main. Jain main is conducted by the CBSE for
B.Tech /B.E and B.Arch. Courses. A candidate who
passes in class 12 examination is eligible for
the Jee main entrance exam. Exam accepted for
the postgraduate courses in GATE Exam. It is a
national level exam for M.Tech/Ph.D. Candidate
who pass bachelor's from the recognized
university are applicable for GATE examination.
