Bermuda Airport L.F. Wade International Airport
is the only airport serving the British overseas
nation of Bermuda in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Located in the parish of St. George's, it is
11kms northeast of Hamilton - Bermuda's capital
city. Currently, seven airlines operate to
Bermuda Airport from the United Kingdom, Canada,
and the United States. It had also stood out in
passenger satisfaction surveys in 2003!

Bermuda Ports Many cruises from the East Coast
sail directly to Bermuda for an entire itinerary.
Some of the cruise lines sailing out of New York
City (including NCL and Princess) include a stop
in Bermuda on the way down or coming back from
the Caribbean. Bermuda can be broken down into
three major tourist hubs (not counting all of the
beaches) The West End (King's Wharf), Hamilton,
and St. George. The larger cruise ships dock at
The West End (King's Wharf). For those passengers
wanting to visit St George, they will find that
this is quite the trek across the island.

  • Inland Road Transport and Water Transport
  • Now once you are in the land of Bermuda looking
to enjoy your vacation, you will need to find
    suitable Bermuda transportation options. That's
where Bermuda Explorer comes in. It is one of the
    finest transportation, tour, and accommodation
    providers in the whole island.

  • Here are some Public Transportation options from
    King's Wharf to St. George
  • Before beginning, consider taking a look at the
Summer Ferry and Bus Schedules. Click on the
respective links and find the details in a .pdf
    file.
  • You can take a bus from The West End (King's
Wharf) to St. George. It runs all day but is also
long, long ride. Now, you can't complain that.
After all, you are in Bermuda! It's like
commuting to another street in the same city!
  • Another option is to take a ferry to Hamilton and
then bus to St. George. It is a little more
complex, but you can work in a visit while in
Hamilton after your visit to St George.
  • Also, there is direct ferry access to St. George.
By far, it's the quickest way to St George with
direct ferry service right from The West End.
Remember that the last direct ferry back to The
West End is in the afternoon. So if you would
like to experience direct ferry service, plan on
departing for St George first in the morning.
