  • Kayakalpa is a specific field of practice revered

What is Kayakalpa Treatment?
  • Kaya indicates body and Kalpa means
    transformation.
  • Kaya Kalpa is a set of specific therapies
    mentioned in Vedic texts, that can reverse the
    physical degeneration caused by age.
  • The treatments transform old cells to new again.

  • Kayakalpa treatment is the best treatment in
    Ayurveda for reducing ageing processes, arresting
    the degeneration of the body cells and increasing
    the immunity of the body.
  • Giving Rasayana Chikitsa is the central part of
    this treatment.

PROCESS OF KAYAKALPA TREATMENT

1. Snehapana
  • Snehapanam is a therapeutic measure in Ayurveda,
    characterised by the oral intake of medicated
    ghee made from cow's milk for internal
    purification before doing the Panchakarma therapy.

2. Virechanam
  • Virechana is drugs induce one of the Panchakarma
    therapies wherein purgation, and it aims
    explicitly at the elimination of excessive Pitta
    Dosha from the body.
  • It is designed to flush out body toxins. Liver
    detox, colon detox etc. procedures that are quite
    famous nowadays.

3. Nasyam
  • Nasyam Ayurvedic treatment cleanses, purifies and
    strengthens the nasal passages, allowing you to
    breathe thoroughly and quickly again.
  • Due to many benefits, Nasyam is a recommended
    remedy for congestion, allergies, sinusitis,
    headaches, migraine, cervical spondylosis, hair
    fall, premature greying of hair and rhinitis.

4. Sneha Vasti
  • Sneha Vasti treatment should be done under the
    guidance of an expert Ayurveda doctor, and all
    vata disorders would have eliminated with the
    proper use of vasti.
  • Kashaya vasti, Uttaravasti, Snehavasti, Siro
    vasti etc are known as the main Vastis. It has a
    proven method of Ayurveda.

5. Dhara
  • Dhara is the most known Ayurveda therapy.
  • The individuals who experienced Dhara spreads the
    benefits of Ayurveda Dhara everywhere. Without
    Dhara therapy, the Ayurveda is not completed.
  • Dhara gives relief to chronic headaches,
    insomnia, mental tension, hysteria, hallucination
    and insanity etc.

6. Pizhichil
  • Pizhichil means squeezing. Pizhichil is a type of
    Sarvangdhara.
  • Sarvanga means the whole body and dhara means
    stream.
  • Thus, Sarvangadhara refers to pouring a stream of
    oil on the whole body.
  • This therapy is a perfect combination of two
    Ayurvedic treatments called as Snehana.

7. Njavarakizhi
  • The treatment is a special gift from Ayurveda to
    the ailing world and is called Shashtika Shali
    Pinda Sweda in Sanskrit and Njavarakizhi in
    Kerala Ayurvedic practice.
  • Though it is a sweating form of treatment, often,
    the term massage is associated with this
    treatment because sweating is used by massaging.

8. Tharpanam
  • During Tharpanam, hollow wells of black gram
    paste and gently sculpted around the eyes.
  • Therapeutic, medicated oil is poured into these
    wells.
  • This therapy has a relaxing and cooling effect on
    irritated and stressed eyes.
  • It relieves eyestrain, improves eyesight and
    other eye-related problems.

9. Nirovasthi
  • Sirovasthi is an operative treatment in Ayurveda
    for nervous system disorders.
  • It is the term applied to the process of allowing
    warm herbal oils on the head for a specific
    period.
  • It is known as the treatment or crown of calm.

10. Karnapooram
  • The Ayurvedic oils used in the therapy of Karna
    Purna are beneficial for reducing inflammation
    and pain of the ears.
  • Karna Purna also improves hearing capacity and
    quality.
  • It nourishes the acoustic nerve and improves
    signal quality to the brain.
