Back in 1946, the dedicated leaders of five Farm
Bureau Federations followed through on their
vision of meeting another widespread need of
Southern farmerslife insurance.

Through excellent planning and organization, and
the active support of the farming communities
themselves, the new institution called Southern
Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company began
operations in an old two-story building in
downtown Jackson, Mississippi.

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Companys
initial mission was to serve farmers and
ranchers, their families, and citizens associated
with the farm industry by providing reasonably
priced life insurance.

As the Companys mission of serving Farm Bureau
members expanded, so did the kinds of insurance
policies that we offer.
