Title: Integrative Cancer Therapy Care (1)
1Integrative Cancer Therapy Care
2Integrative Medicine
- A total approach to medical care combining
standard medicine with complementary and
alternative practices that have been shown to be
safe and effective. They treat the patient's
mind, body, and spirit.
3Qualified Doctors
- Our qualified team of physicians treat cancer
very differently from how "conventional" cancer
therapy is administered especially when the odds
support a far more favorable long-term survival
rate for the patient.
4Integral Medicine
- Complementary, alternative and where indicated
conventional standard practice is used for
medical treatments. One example is using a
special diet to treat cancer instead of
anticancer drugs that are prescribed by an
oncologist.
5What is Metastatic Liver Cancer?
-
- Liver metastasis occurs when cancerous tumor
cells spread to the liver from another part of
the body.
6- These tumor cells often appear shortly after the
primary tumor develops, or months or years later.
Most liver metastases start as cancers in colon
or rectum.
7-
- Nearly 70 of patients with colorectal cancer
develop liver metastases. This happens in part
because blood from intestines is connected
directly to liver through the portal vein.
8- Although much less common, liver metastases can
start from breast, esophagus, stomach, pancreas,
lung, kidney or skin cancer.
9- The progression of metastatic liver is quite
severe and abrupt, so treatment must commence as
soon as possible after first diagnosed, based on
the following symptoms.
10Enlarged liver will block flow of bile, causing
seepage into bloodstream, resulting in dark
urine, pale stools and itchy skin.
11It affects sleep patterns, with difficulty
concentrating, with possible amnesia leading to
possible coma.
12Tumor cells begin to expand throughout
surrounding area destroying healthy tissue. This
leads to massive organ damage. Patient will have
a very swollen abdomen, with incredibly hardened
and enlarged liver resulting in severe pain.
Select pain killer is usually prescribed.
13Fluid will begin to build inside the abdomen
area. Ascites is excess fluid with floating
cancer cells with current standard of care
requiring draining fluid through the abdomen wall.
14Systemic Organ Malfunctions
- Kidney begins to fail, causing weight gain,
swelling and less urine output. - Lungs fail, making it more complicated and
difficult to breath. Lungs begin to fill with
fluid. - Confusion from the toxicity affects the brain,
causing mood swings, altered decision-making,
drowsiness, sluggish speech. - Overall, liver failure causes nausea, vomiting,
fatigue, loss of appetite, and easy bleeding.
