Why Do I Need First Aid Certificate

Competencies To Be Achieved During The Training
Program

• Assess an emergency situation
• Maintain the airways, breathing and circulation
  of an unconscious casualty
• Administer first aid for minor wounds and apply
  infection control procedure
• Manage a casualty with external bleeding
• Manage a casualty suffering from shock
• Manage a casualty suffering near drowning

Eligibility Criteria

• In order to get enrolled in First Aid Course
  Parramatta, candidate must
• 18 years of ager or over
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen
• Be competent and physically fit to do activities.
• Have successfully completed the required training
  as well as assessment.

Duration of the course

• It is a full time course of total 2 days.
• Total duration is 15 hours.
• The duration of day 1 will be 8 hours including
  self study and pre-assessment.
• The duration of day 2 will be 7 hours including
  classroom based practical training , theory and
  practical assessment.
