Check the Color fastness
Before applying any method, you should make sure
that your carpet has fixed color or not because
cleaning methods depend on the color fastness.

Use Vinegar and Water
If your carpet does not contain fixed colors and
or will bleed then you should try this method.
Use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and
cool water to blog out the stain.

For Color Fast Oriental rug
If you have a color fast carpet then you can use
cube soda method.

Remove Spills Using Cotton
Use a sponge to dampen the area to be cleaned and
then blot the area dry using a cotton towel. You
may want to place a towel above and beneath the
stain on the rug to help wick moisture out of the
rug.
