What is Sanskrit Language?
  • Sanskrit is the primary liturgical language of
    Hinduism a philosophical language of Hinduism,
    Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism and a literary
    language and lingua franca for the educated of
    ancient and medieval South Asia. Sanskrit is
    normally written in the Devanagari script but
    other scripts continue to be used. It continues
    to be widely used as a ceremonial language in
    Hindu religious rituals and Buddhist practice in
    the form of hymns and chants. In India, Sanskrit
    is among the 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule
    to the Constitution. The state of Uttarakhand in
    India has ruled Sanskrit as its second official
    language.

Why Study Sanskrit Language?
  • One of the first written records was in Sanskrit-
    It has been attested that one of the first
    written records may have been in Sanskrit. It was
    probably the texts that make of the Rigveda,
    which is a collection of Hindu hymns that dates
    back to ancient times.
  • Sanskrit is the philosophical language for a few

Characteristics of Sanskrit Language
  • Sanskrit is the language of the world's oldest
    book (Vedas). Therefore, there is no possibility
    of any suspicion in accepting it as the world's
    first language.
  • Due to its distinct grammar and the alphabetical
    scientificness, the superiority is also
    self-evident.
  • In Sanskrit sentences, words can be kept in any
    order. There is little or no possibility of being
    a disaster for this meaning.
  • Word form - There are only one or two forms of
    one word in all languages ??of the world, whereas
    in Sanskrit there are 25 forms of each word.
  • Research has shown that reading Sanskrit reads
    memory power.
