What is IBPS PO Exam?

• The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection
  also known as IBPS, is a recruitment body that
  was started with an aim to encourage the
  recruitment and placement of young graduates in
  public sector banks in India (except SBI). It
  also provides standardized systems for assessment
  and result processing services to organizations.
• After their nationalization in India in 1969,
  Indian banks needed to expand their branch
  network across the country so that they were more
  accessible to their customers. This required more
  staff but recruitment through methods such as
  advertising were unsatisfactory. Thus, the banks
  asked the National Institute of Bank Management
  (NIBM) to design a selection testing process
  through which they could hire proficient
  candidates. In 1984, the NIBM department that
  handled the test was converted into the IBPS.

IBPS PO Selection Process

• IBPS PO Selection Process will be done in three
  stages First is Preliminary Common Written Exam
  Second is Mains and then Common Interview exam.
• IBPS Department simply generates Score Card by
  the Performance in these parts. By Score level of
  this card, candidates will be shortlisted in the

• 2. Common Written Exam (CWE)
• IBPS Common Written Exam (IBPS CWE) is an
  Objective type question paper which will be
  conducted Online.
• This exam contains 200 marks with a duration of
  03 hours. There will be Negative marking also for
  every wrong Answer 0.25 marks.
• Each Student required to the get minimum score to
  qualify for the Second Stage for Interview. IBPS
  CWE Exam Consists five different Sections that
  are Reasoning Computer Aptitude, General
  Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis
  Interpretation, (Letter Writing Essay).
• 3.IBPS Common Interview
• Candidates who have been qualified IBPS PO 2018
  they will be called for Interview to be directed
  by the Participating Organizations and composed
  by the Nodal Bank in each one State/ UT with the
  assistance of IBPS. The interview will be
  conducted at the selected Interview Centers.
