Situated at an altitude of approximately 3500
meters above sea level, the history of Ladakh has

Leh Palace Located in the heart of the city,
this palace was built by Singe Namgyal in the
sixteenth century. In this palace, pictures
reflecting the life of Lord Buddha are worth
seeing. Leh Mosque This mosque was constructed
in the 17th century by Deladan Namgyal in memory
of his Muslim mother. This mosque is a unique
specimen of Turk and Iranian artwork. Shankar
Gompa   It is 2 kilometers away from the
monastery. Here are the statues of Gyalva
Chonkapa, Mahatma Buddha and Chandak, and their
beauty and crafts are visible. Thikse Math
This monastery is 25 km away from Leh. Here is a
huge statue of Mahatma Buddha that sees the
audience mesmerizing.
Ladakh Peace Stupa It is located 5 kilometers
from Leh. Its height is approximately 14000 feet
above sea level. An infinite statue of Mahatma
Buddha is installed here it was built by Fuji
Guruji of Japan. The whole of Leh city can be
seen from here.

Gurudwara Pattar Sahab This place is situated
20 kilometers from Leh on Leh Srinagar road. Here
a human figure has emerged on a rock, it is said
that this figure belongs to the first Guru Nanak
Dev Ji.
