Title: What to Know Before Your Engagement Shoot

What to Know Before Your Engagement Shoot
2
  • Most couples dont consider an engagement
session as important as their wedding photoshoot.
In other words, it is just optional for
them. However, getting an engagement shoot is
essential for many reasons. First, it allows you
to get comfortable with your photographers ahead
of the wedding. It will give you an idea about
their work and aesthetics. As an added bonus, you
get an ideal opportunity to get used to being in
front of the lens, especially if you are a
camera, conscious person. You can use your
photographs in wedding décor or on gifts for
    loved ones.

Scheduling
  • Many clients schedule the engagement session
on a weekend. Thats why photographers are
jam-packed handling several clients on the same
day. Perhaps you dont get the favorable date for
your weekend shoot. Therefore, it does make
sense to schedule the session on weekdays as
photographers have more time and energy to make
your photo session amazing. Another benefit is
that beaches and parks are less crowded during
    the week.

4
Location
  • Generally, an engagement shoot is more
often performed outside or in a special location
rather than in a studio. From the clients home
to historical buildings like castles, beaches,
gardens and forests, there are endless options
where you can get the shoot done. Make sure the
location complements your tastes. The area also
should be comfortable for both of you. You can
consult your photographers for some suggestions
if you are not sure what works best for you.

Outfits
  • From makeup to hairstyle and attire,
engagement shoots give you an opportunity to
figure out what looks best on you. Wear the
clothes that are comfortable and speak to your
tastes. If you love casuals, just wear them. Here
are some tips helping you deciding the outfits
for an engagement shootAccording to the season
(no stilettos on the beach or bare thighs in the
    snow)

6
Posing
  • The more you feel relaxed and confident, the
better photos your photographer can shoot. Have
your genuine moments captured like when your
fiancée is dabbing lipstick off to your face. Do
the things as if the photographer is not even
    there with you.
