When the heating and cooling unit in your home
starts acting up- there is nothing that you want
more than to get it fixed. The thermostat could
be the issue and is often an overlooked
component when it comes to A/C issues.
3
Check the Power
Check to make sure the batteries in the units are
working and replace them, then see if your AC
issues continue.
4
Clean the Device Try opening the face of the
thermostat and look to see if there is any dust,
dirt or corrosion- if you see build up, take a
brush or compressed air and lightly clean out
the unit.
5
Look at the location The thermostat is in a loca
tion that is out of direct sunlight, drafty hallwa
ys, and devices that release heat or cold air. Th
ese locations can cause the device to misread the
room and over adjust to counteract the temperature
.
