Interactive Session
The Modern School BPTP, Faridabad organized an
Interactive Session for all the parents on May
12, 2018. The dignitary, Mr Ashok Pratap Singh,
President, Board of Trustees, Modern Schools
addressed the parents with his enlightening
words. He spoke about the age-old legacy of The
Modern School and how it is synonymous with
quality education and is a pioneer in mooting
all-round development of its students. He said
that through our schools we seek to nurture
students with innovation and ability to think
differently with rational creativity and
appreciation of sustainable socio-culture values,
so that they can lead a meaningful life of
achievements.

Technology in Education
The Modern School BPTP, Faridabad organized a
workshop for the teachers in association with
CRISP The Consortium for Research in School
Pedagogy on May 22, 2018. The objective of this
workshop was to make the teachers conversant with
ICT. The speaker, Mr. Uday Lohria emphasized on
the shifting educational paradigms propelled by
the incorporation of technology in 21st century
classrooms with an endeavor to cater to the
cognitive level of different individuals. He also
explained at length the concept of Blooms
Taxonomy thereby focusing on the need to bring
out the aspect of divergent thinking for the
advancement of students in all the fields.

Culinary Workshop
The Modern School BPTP, Faridabad organized a
Culinary Workshop in collaboration with The
Radisson Blu Hotel, Faridabad on May 22, 2018 for
the students of all age-groups. The objective of
this workshop was to tap the nascent skills of
the amateur cooks. The skilled patissier briefly
discussed about the basic techniques of baking
and the art of garnishing food. The students also
voluntarily participated in preparing the
delicacies and relishing them thereafter. It
turned out to be a very engaging and interesting
session.

Workshop on Mentoring - Promise
The Modern School BPTP, Faridabad organized a
Mentoring Workshop for the teachers in
collaboration with an esteemed organization
called PROMISE on May 18, 2018. The speaker, Mr.
Kamalneet Singh, a resource person from the
organization provided an enlightening insight to
the psychological development of children and
scientific concept of mirror neurons which helps
the child in the correct learning process
followed by a discourse on how the adults need to
choose the right statement, become a model and
filter the conversation with their children to
establish a healthy and proactive communication
style. He also presented the cause-and-effect
theory of TBQ that stands for Thought Belief
Quotient emphasizing on the fact that children
manifest what they internalize so adults need to
externalize positive thoughts to help the
children build a positive belief system, leading
to positive actions and eventually results.

Summer Camp - Nursery to S2
To make Summer time full of fun and frolic, The
Modern School has organized Summer Camp for
children of age 3 to 12 years. To utilize their
time in a productive manner along with
development of some vocational skills. Children
are engaged in lot of learning as well as
recreational activities. They are learning art
and craft, sculpting, instrumental music,
contemporary dance, Zumba, non flame cooking,
theatre and personality development to name a
few. During sculpting class they have learnt to
make face mask with clay which was a new and
exciting experience for them. When little hands
move on table, bango, guitar and drums it is a
sight to watch. Children thoroughly enjoyed
making dishes on their own during cooking without
fire and sense of pride they achieved was
mesmerizing. They are also being taught table
manners during the course.

Kanchenjunga House function
The first Kanchenjunga House function was
celebrated on 12th May, 2018, amidst great
splendour, zeal and mirth at The Modern School,
BPTP, Faridabad.The Chief Guest on the occasion
was Mr. Rajesh Nagar , a Senior BJP leader from
Tigaon constituency, Faridabad, whose words of
wisdom and support radiated a source of energy
within all of us.The programme commenced with the
welcome speech by the Head Mistress Maam and
lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Chief
Guest led by the HM, accompanied by the Shloka
Song. Thereafter, the House Report was read by
Lakhsya of S4.The melodious House song was
presented by the choir group.The cultural
programme was based on the theme Atulya Bharat,
Incredible India.

INTERACT CLUB OF THE MODERN SCHOOL, FARIDABAD
On the 9th of May 2018, President and the
President Elect of the Interact Club, Modern
School, Faridabad visited Rotary Delhi Regencys
Annual committee meeting. The committee meet was
attended by Rotary clubs committee members along
with the District Governor Rotarian Mr Ravi
Chaudhary.The committee meeting was followed by
District Governors interaction with Rotary Act
Club and Interact Club members in which he guided
the young leaders by telling them how to achieve
good leadership skills and how to govern the
Club.Being the first Rotary meet attended by The
Modern Schools Interact Club, the club members
got a chance to introduce themselves to the
Rotary Club.It was a very enriching and
motivating session and the students look forward
to more such experiences.
