2Description
- Pharmacy (medical) assistant course introduces
students the role of a Pharmacy Assistant as a
part of the healthcare team. Students will
acquire the knowledge and skills sought out by
retail pharmacies, clinics, hospitals and other
health care occupations this includes a detailed
understanding of pharmaceutical duties, materials
and apparatus. Students in pharmacy assistant
program will learn how to compound, package and
label pharmaceuticals products as they would do
on the job in a pharmacy, hospital other health
care setting. They will learn how to maintain
prescription records and handle inventories of
medications and pharmaceutical products.
3Description
- This pharmacy (medical) assistant course teaches
the students many aspects of working in the
pharmacy including problem solving, client
services and medical terminology, pharmaceutical
law and ethics. In addition, students will
acquire the computer and communication skills
needed to communicate effectively with customers
and doctors and other medical professionals.
Pharmacy Assistants are essential to the
healthcare system and with the benefit of a
clinical placement graduates of this program will
have the skills to make them ideal candidates for
a career as a pharmacy assistant.
4Description
- The objective of this pharmacy assistant training
program is to help the student develop the skills
and competences needed for increased
interpersonal, organizational, administrative,
Bookkeeping, Computerized Accounting, word
processing, production of medical documents and
communication skills. This program includes entry
to advanced level of training in computer
applications such as Microsoft office, office and
business skills in addition to heath office
procedures, ethics, laws and terminology. - CCBST provides Pharmacy Assistant Training at
Scarborough, North York and Brampton too.

sterile compounded products - Understand the need for extemporaneous
compounding in a retail and hospital pharmacy - Accurately calculate the amount of each
ingredient needed to compound a given product
